Bring blankets, chairs, snacks and drinks. All movies begin at dusk. Dress the kids up in some comfy pajamas. This year there are a lot of outdoor movies being offered in central Iowa. Windsor Heights – Colby Park Located at 6900 School St. in Windsor Heights. Free outdoor family- friendly movies beginning at dusk. Don’t forget a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a picnic dinner with family. Concession stand will be available. July 28 – “Moana” (Rain date is Aug. 4.) Movies in Carlisle This event is located at North Park and the Carlisle Family Aquatic Center on each first Friday of the summer months. Start time for each movie is dusk. The event is free but some low-cost concessions will be available to purchase. It’s a good idea to bring your chair or blanket.
