On behalf of the organizing committee of our conference, we would like to express our great appreciation and respect to all of you from around the world for sharing your valuable work with us. We have organized this 10th conference with the academic collaboration of Gebze Institute of Technology, Istanbul Okan University, Yıldız Technical University, and Yalova University. Proceedings of the 10th International Strategic Management Conference will be published on-line by Elsevier in its “Procedia Social and Behavioral Sciences" publication. The main objective of this annual conference is to provide a platform for the discussion and exchange of views among academicians, strategists, and practitioners coming from different backgrounds and countries. The countries providing papers are as follows; Albania, Australia, Czech Republic, Iran, India, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey and the USA. The 10th International Strategic Management Conference received a total of 241 extended abstracts from different countries. After careful screening, 153 full papers were decided to be published in the Proceedings. Among accepted papers, some were selected to be published in the Journal of Global Strategic Management, an internationally refereed journal published biannually by the International Strategic Management and Managers Association which also organizes this conference. This year’s conference theme is “Rethinking Strategies for SMEs in order to be Successful in the Global Environment" and we have two very valuable keynote speakers: Richard Lynch, Emeritus Professor of Strategic Management at Middlesex University, London, UK, and Atilla Dicle, Professor of Strategic Management at Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey. We are very grateful to them. Dear Colleagues and Guests; I would like to thank those who have contributed a lot to the preparation of the conference in a successful manner, especially the conference co-chairs Oya Erdil, Cemal Zehir and Mehtap Özşahin, and organizing committee members, Meral Elçi and Tanses Gülsoy. And of course we are thankful and indebted a lot to our founding president, dear teacher, and exemplary academician The Late Professor Erol Eren who had worked a lot for this conference for 10 years, including also this year until his sudden departure for heaven a few months ago. We have already missed him a lot. Ladies and Gentlemen, with my best wishes, I would like once again to welcome you all and hope that you enjoy the Conference and your stay in Rome.
