These improved farming techniques for stepping up productivity of cereals, pulses, cotton, sugarcane, oilseeds, fodders and some other crops in Punjab have been discussed and finalised in the Research and Extension Specialists Workshop held on 25 February, 2021. It is purposely written in a simple and easy-to-understand language because these recommendations are intended for the use of the field level extension workers and the farmers of Punjab. Its’ average yield is 19.0 quintals per acre. PMH 13 (Maize): This single cross hybrid matures in 97 days. Its’ average yield is 24.0 quintals per acre. ADV 9293 (Maize): This single cross hybrid matures in 97 days. Its’ average yield is 24.5 quintals per acre. JC 4 (Maize): This composite variety is recommended for irrigated and kandi areas. It matures in about 90 days and its’ average yield is 13.0 quintals per acre. This variety is also recommended for organic farming. CoPb 95 (Sugarcane): The average cane yield of this early maturing variety is 425 quintals per acre. Its’ juice contains 17% sucrose in the month of December. CoPb 96 (Sugarcane): The average cane yield of this early maturing varietyis about 382 quintals per acre. Its’ juice contains 16-17% and 18% sucrose in the months of November and December, respectively. Co 15023 (Sugarcane): The average cane yield of this early maturing varietyis about 310 quintals per acre. Its’ juice contains 16-17 and 18% sucrose in the month of November and December, respectively. CoPb 98 (Sugarcane): The average cane yield of this mid-late maturing varietyis about 400 quintals per acre. Its’ juice contains 17% and 19% sucrose in the months of January and March,
