Please meet, Kyle Ellefson: Hello Columbus! I started as City Administrator right before Election Day in April, and it has been a whirlwind since day one. I can tell you with 100% certainty that when I applied to be the City Administrator, I had no idea our world would look the way it does right now. Mayor Thom and the rest of the City Council have been incredible to work with as we navigate the constantly changing landscape without any past playbook to rely on. On top of that, I am incredibly lucky to find myself with some of the best staff you can find across Wisconsin! It hasn’t been easy to keep up with the momentum of the Mayor, Council, and staff, but I can’t help but feed off of their energy, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish with the team we have! It is no surprise to me that we had more new construction last year than any other community in Columbia County, and on top of that, since 2010 more people have moved to Columbus than anywhere else in the County. Columbus is a terrific community with great people, strong businesses, dedicated community groups, high quality schools, and a wealth of history. I am fortunate to serve the City of Columbus, and proud to call it home. OUR MISSION To establish and maintain a high quality of life in the community, provide social interactions critical to maintaining community cohesion and pride, and ensure the health of families and youth while contributing to the economic and environmental well-being of the whole community.
