The Walla Walla Sweets are a collegiate wood-bat baseball team that from the West 2014 Coast League. Named after the famous Walla Walla sweet onions, the team displays the Overall 20-16 deep agricultural roots in the Walla Walla Valley. League 16-15 Non-league 4-1 Division 7-6 SERIES WITH THE SWEETS Home games 10-10 Away games 10-6 The Walla Walla Sweets are 15-16 and are in third place in the WCL East Division. They Day games 1-1 are coming off of a sweep against the AppleSox and lead the series on the season 4-3. Night games 19-15 Walla Walla was in the Championship series a year ago against the Corvallis Knights, but did not win the series. The Sweets and the AppleSox have met in the playoffs four times Series 9-3 and split the series 2-2 (2011 and 2013). Both playoff series were sweeps. Another big strikeout number was acheived last week when Griffin Hits are equal 1-0 Sox hit a HR 7-3 Canning struck out ten batters over his six innings of work. That is the second time in as Sox hit 2 or more HRs 2-0 many tries that the AppleSox have had a starter record ten strikeouts off of the Walla Sox have a SB 14-8 Walla Sweets (Trevor Lubking, July 31, 2013).
