CHAPTER ETERNAL Richard A. Bell Martha (Chuck) Veta and sons Brian (Marty) Brisbois, Steve Brisbois Pennsylvania Epsilon ’67 and Brandon Brisbois, all from CA. Three granddaughters, Valerie (Mark) Passarella, Nancy (Rocky) Ramirez, and Lindsay Taylor survive Richard A. Bell, 68, of Saratoga Springs, entered the arms of his Creator Pat. His parents, sister-in-law Karen Brisbois and brother-in-law Rich on October 21, 2016 at his residence with his beloved wife, Monica and Peterson predeceased him. faithful dog Shugga at his side. Richard was born in New Rochelle, NY, the son of the late Walter Bell and Florence Miller Bell. The devoted father of three daughters and a son: Jessica (Sam) Sullivan of Albany; Laurence S. Buttler Jr. Jill (Michael) DeAnzeris of Saratoga and Aimee Hommel of Malta; Pennsylvania Epsilon ’48 Scott (Lucretia) Hommel of Davidsonville, Maryland, Richard is also Laurence S. Buttler Jr. of Pittsford, NY formerly of Simsbury, CT died survived by two sisters: Wendy Wanninger of Mariaville, NY, and Joan on January 5, 2015 at age 85. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, (Howie) Bashant of Denver, Colorado. He was predeceased by older Joan; daughters, Donna (Mark Ricketts) Buttler, Debra (Ken) Nelson; sister, Barbara Pickett of South Bristol, Maine, and brother-in-law, grandchildren, Courtney Harris, Tim and Scott Keegan, Erin, Kaitlin Robert Wanninger. His eleven grandchildren: Cooper, Sydney and & Conor Buttler-Ricketts and Leah Nelson; in-laws Chris and Marilyn Harry Sullivan; Sophia and Mikey DeAnzeris; Zak and Matt Hommel; Gengras and Nancy Reed, several nieces and nephews. Larry joined Gabriella and Scotty Hommel, Jr.; Morgan and Christian Boldish, and Aetna Life & Casualty in 1955, spending several years in supervisory one infant great grandson, Ryder Bagwell were the love of his life. Significant shore tours included Service Club, the St. Vincent Hospital Advisory Board and the 8402 Commander Task Group 116.1 and 116.2 in Vietnam, Corporation, the Indiana State Student Assistance Commission and a Operations department at Allied Forces Southern recipient of the Governor’s Award, Sagamore of the Wabash in 1988. After graduation, he worked briefly at Surface Combustion Corp. and the U.S. Corps of Engineers where Robert “Bob” Herndon Dickinson, 75 of Newtown and formerly of he spent time working on the Panama Canal. In addition, he is survived by Toledo where he met the dream of his life, Doris Jean Zimmerman, his sister, Sue Todorovich of Scottsboro, AL, and his brother Fred W. and the two were married on May 18, 1946. They were happily married Dickinson and his wife, Donna, of Oak Hill, WV. He is also survived for 60 years until Jean’s death in 2006. In 1947, Darrell joined the by many nieces and nephews. This professional and social organizations, including the National, Ohio and was the first Master’s Level Pollution Control program in the United Toledo Societies of Professional Engineers, the American Society of States. After working several years as an electrical engineer with The Civil Engineers, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, The Toledo Country Club, Monongahela Power Company he went to work for Westvaco, a paper Belmont Country Club, Boca Raton (Florida) Resort and Club, as well company, where he would spend thirty years, eventually reaching a as a 67-year member of The Toledo Club.
