In addition, Area Seven also supports the following Central Florida Counties: Polk and Marion. This document, as revised, is part of the State of Florida EAS Plan. For participating broadcasters and cable systems, the most recent copies of this Local EAS Operational Area 7 Plan and the latest FCC Handbook (http://www.fcc.gov/pshs/services/eas/handbooks.html) must be located at normal duty positions or EAS equipment locations when an operator is required to be on duty and be immediately available to staff responsible for authenticating messages and initiating actions. (FCC rule CFR 47 §11.15) Acceptance of or participation in this plan shall not be deemed as a relinquishment of program control and shall not be deemed to prohibit a broadcast licensee from exercising independent discretion and responsibility in any given situation.
