Hitachi First High School Haruka Endo Hiyori Senba Misuzu Takamura Hitachi Seaside Park is a national government park in Hitachinaka city. It has various kinds of flowers, so we can enjoy them throughout all the seasons. Spring: narcissus, tulip, nemophila Summer: kochia, sunflower Fall: kochia, cosmos Also, the park is very large, so we can enjoy cycling and riding vehicles in the park. ROCK IN JAPAN, the biggest outdoor rock festival in Japan, is held there every summer. About 200 musicians who work actively in Japan take part in this festival. In 2017, about 274,000 people attended the festival over four days. The local private railroad runs 14.3 kilometers and serves 10 stations from Ajigaura station to Katsuta station. In graceful Nakaminato, the station building of Ajigaura station, and the yard of Nakaminato station, old-model diesel train and old Japanese-National-Railways type trains leisurely run. There are many highlights to experience while Katsuta riding it because the trains run in the extensive field. It has some famous tourist spots, such as Hitachi Seaside Park and Nakaminato fish market along the Nikkou-mae railroad line. When the Nemophila are in bloom at Hitachi Kaneage Seaside Park, a bus called “the Nemophila bus” runs to connect Hitachinaka Kaihintetudo minato line Nakane and Hitachi Seaside Park.
