Foreword from Susanna Eastburn, IAMIC President 2014 was a year of transition and development for IAMIC – and one which gives me great optimism for IAMIC’s future. For whilst the cessation of core funding from the EU presented some immediate practical issues to resolve, it is a testimony to the strength of the network – and the innovative approaches and experience of its members – that the organisation emerges in 2015 with a broader, ambitious and more inclusive strategic plan to shape its future development. IAMIC’s members bring together a unique collection of perspectives that can offer really practical insights into how music can thrive in a digital age, as well as a global network of contacts and support spanning 35 countries. Its role in connecting national music promotion and information organisations feels more important than ever, in order to facilitate music promotion and export, exchange and collaboration; and more generally to support artists and their work to thrive internationally, as well as collaborating to build and develop online and live audiences for music. We had a particularly enjoyable and stimulating Annual Meeting this year in the beautiful city of Wrocław, hosted by POLMIC and convened to coincide with the annual meeting and festival of the International Society for Contemporary Music. Thanks to the POLMIC team for such great organisation. And thanks as ever to my brilliant and inspiring colleagues on the IAMIC Board, as well as to Yanna Papadopolou for her excellent organisational skills. As I write this, we are preparing for our Spring Meeting, this year in Rotterdam to coincide with Classical:Next, where we have convened an expert panel discussion about successful export strategies. 2015 is promising to be another dynamic year for us! IAMIC Meetings 5.1 Winter meeting & Extraordinary General Assembly 2014 31 January 2014 Nice, France IAMIC Winter Meeting & Extraordinary General Assembly was held in Nice on 31 January 2014. 14 members from 14 countries were present, while 22 members from 22 countries were absent and excused. The meeting started with the Treasurer presenting the situation of IAMIC accounts for 2013 as well as the Budget for 2014 in order to be discussed and approved by all members. Right after the approval of IAMIC budget 2014, there was a discussion on some amendments that will be done on IAMIC Bylaws and an update of IAMIC Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan was unanimously approved while the board was authorized to incorporate further changes to IAMIC Bylaws and disseminate to all members for electronic voting. During the Winter Meeting 2014, an evaluation on IAMIC Office Exchange Programme 2013 was presented as well as a report on Music Monitor project by Kostas Moschos. Furthermore, An-Heleen De Gref and Susanna Eastburn provided detailed explanations about Creative Europe Guidelines and gave a feedback from EU Meeting highlighting the priorities,
