This means that it will also have 4 angles. Below we look at some of the special kinds of quadrilateral and their properties. 1. A rectangle A rectangle has 4 sides and every angle is a right angle. 2. A square A square is a special kind of rectangle as every angle is a right angle. All four sides of a square are equal in length. 3. A rhombus All the sides of a rhombus are equal in length. Opposite sides are parallel and opposite angles are equal. 4. A parallelogram Opposite sides of a parallelogram are parallel and equal in length. Opposite angles are also equal. 5. A trapezium A trapezium has just one pair of parallel sides.
