
<p>14 February 2012 </p><p><strong>QPAC rounds off Brisbane’s St Patrick’s Day Celebrations with Damien Leith </strong></p><p>Round off the week-long <em>Brisbane Irish Festival </em>at the Queensland Performing Arts </p><p>Centre (QPAC) on <strong>Saturday 17 March </strong>with <strong>Damien Leith </strong>and his <em>Danny Boys</em>. </p><p>Immerse yourself in the spirit of St Patrick's Day at QPAC and celebrate with an energetic concert of traditional folk songs, Celtic tunes and rowdy melodies and enjoy a full celebration of the true spirit of the Emerald Isle in QPAC’s <strong>Concert Hall</strong>. </p><p>Starring singer-songwriter and quintessential Irish-Australian <strong>Damien Leith</strong>, the </p><p><em>Australian Idol </em>winner and <em>Dancing with the Stars </em>finalist will take you through a night </p><p>of sing-a-longs with his merry band, <strong>The Danny Boys</strong>, accompanied by the full </p><p>resonance of the magnificent <strong>Queensland Pops Orchestra </strong>and the talent of <strong>local Irish dancers</strong>. </p><p>Celebrations begin at 2pm on QPAC’s Melbourne Street Green with FREE Irish family day activities including pipe bands, fiddle ensembles, Irish dance and much more. </p><p>Then party on into the night from 9pm to 11pm with a free performance in QPAC’s Cascade Court by Queensland’s premier Celtic group, Súnas. A fiery four-piece band featuring multi-instrumentalists and exquisite three-part vocal harmonies, Súnas have been delighting audiences around Australia and overseas with their fresh and exciting take on traditional Celtic music. </p><p>Join us to pay tribute to Irish culture with this exciting program of popular and classic Celtic dance and music.
