Based on one man’s love affair and quirky obsession with songstress, actress and animal rights advocate Doris Day, Scott Dreier debuts this acclaimed musical tribute to Doris, with rare stories from her life and film career and a serenade of some of her greatest hits including “Secret Love,” “It’s Magic,” “Que Sera, Sera,” “Everybody Loves a Lover,” and of course, “Sentimental Journey.” With this show, Scott attempts to discover what exactly it is about America’s sweetheart that had her holding the key to his heart from the very first time as a young boy, he saw her on a Family Film Festival… Scott’s stage credits include “Forever Plaid,” ”Little Shop of Horrors,” How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” and “Into the Woods,” and he has performed locally in Desert Theater companies, such as Cabaret Theater West/A Cole Porter Revue (Directed by Ron Celona) and with Musical Chairs at the Annenberg Theater. But it is his offering of “Doris and Me/A Sentimental Journey” that has him the most excited…bringing back classic songs from simpler times, and celebrating someone that has had such a huge influence on his life.
