Match background Dynamo • Dynamo drew 2-2 at home to Porto on matchday one before a 2-0 success at Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC last time out. • The Kyiv club beat Everton FC 5-2 at home in last season's UEFA Europa League round of 16 (aggregate 6-4). Andriy Yarmolenko, Antunes, Oleh Gusev, Danilo Silva and Łukasz Teodorczyk were all on the scoresheet with Gusev also scoring in the away leg. • That victory was only Dynamo's fifth in 24 encounters with English sides and they have yet to win in England (D2 L10). • They have lost just one of their last ten home European games, recording seven wins. • The Ukrainian double winners are involved in their 15th group stage campaign. In 2012/13 they finished third in Group A, eight points behind runners-up Porto, and took four points from their three home matches. • In 2009/10, when they finished bottom of the group, Dynamo won one and lost two of their home games and have tasted success only three times in their last 16 UEFA Champions League home group fixtures. Home and away, their record is five wins in their last 33 group stage games. Chelsea • Beaten 2-1 at Porto last time out, Chelsea – in their 14th group stage campaign – had started Group G with a 4-0 home victory against Maccabi. • Oscar scored Chelsea's goal in a 2-1 defeat at FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the 2012/13 group stage, their only previous trip to Ukraine for a competitive game. • They turned the tables with a 3-2 win in the reverse fixture – Oscar again on target – but nevertheless became the first UEFA Champions League holders to fail to get through the group stage. • Last year, when they won their group for the ninth time in their last 12 campaigns, the Blues remained unbeaten but went out on away goals in the round of 16 with a 2-2 home draw against Paris Saint-Germain after the first leg ended 1-1 in France. • José Mourinho lifted the UEFA Champions League with Porto (2004) and FC Internazionale Milano (2010) and is bidding to become the first head coach to win the European Cup with three different teams. Coach and player links • Willian spent six years at Shakhtar Donetsk and was named the Ukraine Premier League's player of the year in 2011. He won the league four times with them and the Ukraine Cup on three occasions, beating Dynamo in the final in all three. His overall record against Dynamo was W13 D2 L5. • On 16 November 2008 Willian scored Shakhtar's only goal in a 1-0 home league win over Dynamo. • Yarmolenko scored the second goal in Ukraine's 2-0 defeat of Loïc Rémy's France in the 2014 FIFA World Cup play- off first leg in Kyiv on 15 November 2013. Khacheridi and Gusev also played for the home side. • John Terry scored the winner in England's 2-1 victory over Ukraine in a 2010 World Cup qualifier at Wembley on 1 April 2009. Khacheridi, Gusev and Yarmolenko helped Ukraine gain revenge in a 1-0 win in the Dnipropetrovsk return that October. Match facts Dynamo • Dynamo's 3-0 home loss to Shakhtar Donetsk on Friday ended their 38-match unbeaten run in the Ukrainian Premier League, dating back to a 2-1 reverse away to FC Metalurh Donetsk on 27 April 2014. Their last home league defeat was also against Shakhtar, 2-0 on 16 April 2014. • Teodorczyk, fit again after an Achilles injury, made his first appearance since May, scoring as Dynamo beat Stal Dniprodzerzhinsk 4-0 in a friendly on 10 October. • Four Dynamo players – Serhiy Rybalka, Denys Garmash, Yarmolenko and Artem Kravets – featured in Ukraine's 1-0 loss to Spain on 12 October, a result that condemned Mykhailo Fomenko's team to the UEFA EURO 2016 play-offs. Chelsea • Diego Costa returned from a three-game domestic ban on Saturday, scoring in a 2-0 home win against Aston Villa 5 FC Dynamo Kyiv - Chelsea FC Tuesday 20 October 2015 - 20.45CET (21.45 local time) Match press kit NSK Olimpiyskyi, Kyiv FC. • Chelsea conceded at least two goals in seven of their first eight Premier League fixtures this season, 17 in total.
