This plan was produced with input and guidance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP). The purpose of the KC Streetcar Full Scale Emergency Exercise is to test operational coordination and preparedness of the KC Streetcar and first responder personnel in the event of an incident inVolVing a streetcar. KC Streetcar Authority personnel along with the Kansas City Police Department, the Kansas City Fire Department, first responders and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, will coordinate and practice their emergency protocols for dealing with such an incident. During the drill, there will be significant emergency personnel on-site at the Singleton Yard and residents are adVised that this is only a drill and to use caution when traveling near the area. WHEN: Tuesday, February 9, 2016. 9:00 a.m. – 11: 00 a.m. WHO: City of Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO); KC Streetcar Authority (KCSA); Herzog Transit; Kansas City Fire Department (KCFD); Kansas City Police Department (KCPD). WHERE: The Kite Singleton Yard located at 600 East 3rd Street. The media will be restricted to the parking lot and front entrance area located outside of the Kite Singleton Yard. Media will not be able to access the facility or the streetcar tracks while the exercise is in process.
