Tathra Vintage Fair – Saturday 9th September A total of 9 club vehicles were displayed at the Tathra Vintage Show and Shine Fair on Saturday the 9th of September. Ray Ubrien had his '37 Chev, Geoff Exell took his Jagu- ar out for a drive. Anthony Dack had his Holden FC and for the first time, the Volvo P1800. Henry Peterson had their heads turning with the '55 Holden Ute. Ron McCartney displayed his very original 1980 XD Ford Falcon. Wayne & Sue Milford settled for a shady spot with their '54 FJ Holden. Graham Peterson had us look- ing for our sunglasses with his sparkling GTR XU1 Torana. Andrew Duchesne arrived very regal in his Ma- roon Valiant. It was nice to see Gary Smiths new pro- ject, a '58 Packard on the back of his Bedford Truck. The morning was a little breezy but the sunshine was delightful against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. There was a great variety of vehicles on show, coming from different clubs and personal cars and caravans. There was a peoples choice award organised by the Event Coordinators, Carman & Tim from the Beachside Caravan Park. Anthony shared 3rd place with his Holden FC. This event is proposed to happen again next year, only bigger and better. It was nice to see so many visitors and locals out enjoying the day. (thanks to Anthony Dack for this report) 5 Past Members Memorial Run held on 10th September. Sunday, the weather was much better than the cool windy day before at Tathra on Saturday. Six cars left Bega for Pambula about 9.00am, they were Bob and Nola Russell in Falcon Fairmont sedan, Wayne and Sue Milford in Holden FJ sedan, Peter and Jan Wilton in Ford Zephyr sedan, Barbara Black and Lyn Mur- phy forced to drive a modern as Barbara’s cars did not want to leave their shed, Neil and Kerri Wood in a modern, Ray & Pauline Ubrihien with granddaughter Hanna in 37 Chev. We were met by Henry and Janelle Petterson in Holden FJ ute at the markets in Pambula Hall, nice craft and jewellery to buy there. Then on to the big monthly market held on the Pambula Soccer Field, a lot of stalls to look at, trash and treasure also food and vegetable stalls. From there we decided to go to the Lions Park out on the coast at Pambula Beach for a late morning tea. There we all enjoyed the scenery, weather and good company with a chat and to top it all off Barbara produced the leftovers of that beautiful 30th birthday cake. At 12.30pm we went to Pambula Golf Club for lunch to meet other members who could not get away earli- er. Janelle bought her mum along, others were Andrew and Sue Duchesne, Alan and Lesley Smith, Peter and Joycelyn Clark, Geoff and Lorraine Exell, Gary and Fran Thornton with friend Frank. It took a while for the 27 of us to get our meal but was well worth waiting for while enjoying a complimentary wine or beer with our meal. At the end of a very enjoyable day we made our own way home. (thanks to Ray Ubrihien for this article—sorry no photos) Lions Club 100 Years Celebration in Colombo Park, Bemboka – Sunday 17 September It was a lovely spring day that greeted members of the BHMC when they ar- rived in their historic cars to join the many displays on show at Colombo Park.
