The Trail will guide you on foot around Battersea Park. The route is on pavements and footpaths and is mainly flat. It should be three miles and take about two and a half hours. You don’t need a map, the directions will lead you from start to finish. Solve the clues to decipher the de-activation code. Enter as a team of 2-4 or we can put you into a team. There will be a small prize for the winning team. The trail is on Wednesday 7th June at 10.45am and will meet at the Pear Tree Café by the lake in Battersea Park at 10.30 (postcode SW11 4NJ) . On arrival please “book in” with the Organiser, Carol Courtney (mobile phone on the day only 07790 362523). For parking, buses and trains see overleaf. The cost is £3.50 per person . The trail will finish back at The Pear Tree Cafe – The café serves snacks and lunches all day. As well as tea, coffee and soft drinks it serves a limited choice of wines and beers. www.peartreecafe.co.uk. We need 4-8 teams so please send your confirmation and cheques as soon as possible. There are direct trains from Caterham (08.54 and 09.24, arriving at Battersea Park at 09.42 and 10.12 resp.), Sutton, London Bridge and Victoria. From other routes change trains at Clapham Junction. Trains leave platform 14 about every 10 minutes and take 3 or 4 minutes to Battersea. Buses 19, 44, 49, 137, 156, 239, 319, 344, 345, and 452 pass by or near the park. Car . There are car parks within the park. Use the one nearest the Rosery Gate. The postcode is SW11 4NJ. .
