Though his time in Duluth was brief - he moved to Minneapolis/St. Paul Hibbing, Minn. at the age of six - Dylan’s artistic spirit lives on in our and Thunder Bay, community’s lively arts and cultural scene. The City of Duluth Canada designated a cultural pathway in honor of Dylan, called Bob Dylan Way. The 1.8-mile path marked with signage, winds through downtown, extending from Michigan Street at 5th Avenue West to 15th Avenue East and London Road. The drive follows Michigan Street, Superior Street and London Road (which leads to the “Highway 61 Revisted” of the album), linking some of our city’s celebrated cultural assets, including the Depot and the old Armory.
