VHP's Reaction to the Misplaced SC Reference in Live-In Relationship Controversy New Delhi, March 25, 2010

VHP's reaction to the misplaced SC reference in live-in relationship controversy New Delhi, March 25, 2010 - Senior adviser of Vishva Hindu Parishad, Acharya Giriraj Kishore took strong exception to the Supreme Court's misplaced reference that has hurt the deference that the over 1.2 billion strong global Hindu society holds Sri Krishna with and protested, " It's very derogatory on the part of the Hon'ble Supreme Court to bring Yogeshwar Krishna and Radha into the live-in relationship controversy in their effort to justify it. Sri Krishna and Sri Radha were outstanding spiritual personages. Sri Krishna was only 12 years of age when he left Vrindavan to address the call of his times to ensure that forces practicing or promoting sensuousness and wickedness did not occupy constitutional centres and institutions of power locally, nationally and globally, and then never returned to Vrindaban; his relation with Radha was in his childhood. How could a child be in erotic live-in relationship?" He demanded, "the learned judges must withdraw this mislaid reference forthwith and apologies to the global Hindu presence for lack of knowledge of Hindu ethos and history." On the controversy of live-in relationship, the Acharya said, "It is not a mark of Swatantrataa (liberty) but Swechchhaachaaritaa (licentiousness). It would promote Vyabhichaar (adultery, debauchery, fornication and the tendency of being libertine) and break social Maryada (dignity, commitment and loyalty in individual and collective life). Such exceptional perversions must not be made into a rule by the stamp of law." "A hidden agenda and conspiracy by the global land-grabbing movement of Opus Dei to plant mindless cases such as live-in relationship, gay and lesbian relationship, etc., to deceive the Indian judiciary with the ultimate goal to destroy the Hindu family and culture (Kulaachaar) and thereby buy their way into Indian society may not be ruled out. The Hindu society must now be more vigilant to such aggression on its holistic culture", said the Acharya. .
