Lincoln/SOTA II/Coulee Montessori’s German and Spanish Clubs bring you our 1st annual “GO GLOBAL” Week! GO GLOBAL WEEK: MARCH 2-6 Who: All Students and Staff What: Trivia (with prizes!), food, music, and fun after school events each day When: March 2-6 Why: To explore cultures DAILY EVENTS CALENDAR: Monday, March 2: French Heritage Day *Trivia question related to France on morning announcements. Play for a chance to win a French-themed prize basket. Drop off your answers in the LMC with Mrs. Watson. *French-influenced meal option at breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria. *Listen for a song in French over the loudspeaker as soon as the bell rings! *International concessions for sale after school. Tuesday, March 3: Hmong Heritage Day *Trivia question related to Hmong culture on morning announcements. Play for a chance to win a Hmong-themed prize basket. Drop off your answers in the LMC with Mrs. Watson. *Hmong-influenced meal option at breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria. *Listen for a song in Hmong over the loudspeaker as soon as the bell rings! *Make (and eat!) Hmong eggrolls with German and Spanish Club after school in Room 118 from 2:45pm-4:30pm (must sign up in advance in the school office). Wednesday, March 4: Hispanic Heritage Day *Trivia question related to Hispanic culture on morning announcements. Play for a chance to win a Hispanic- themed prize basket. Drop off your answers in the LMC with Mrs. Watson. *Hispanic-influenced meal option at breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria. *Listen for a song in Spanish over the loudspeaker as soon as the bell rings! *Join the German and Spanish Clubs in Room 217 to make your “Go Global” t-shirt after school. Bring a t-shirt to decorate from 2:45pm-4:30pm (must sign up in advance in the school office). Thursday, March 5: German Heritage Day *Trivia question related to German culture on morning announcements. Play for a chance to win a German- themed prize basket. Drop off your answers in the LMC with Mrs. Watson. *German-influenced meal option at breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria. *Listen for a song in German over the loudspeaker as soon as the bell rings! *Join the German and Spanish Clubs in the LMC after school for Foreign Film Night documentary “The Great Match” from 2:45pm-4:30pm. Popcorn and soda is provided by the clubs for all attendees. (must sign up in advance in the school office). Separate permission slip is also required to view film (attached). Friday, March 6: Chinese Heritage Day *Trivia question related to Chinese culture on morning announcements. Play for a chance to win a Chinese-themed prize basket. Drop off your answers in the LMC with Mrs. Watson. *Chinese-influenced meal option at breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria. *Listen for a song in Chinese over the loudspeaker as soon as the bell rings! *Join the German and Spanish Clubs at the mixer tonight! Door prizes, internationally-themed concessions, and other fun will ensue! Buy mixer tickets during the school lunch hours for $3.00 each. MIXER: MARCH 6 Don’t miss the mixer on Friday, March 6 from 7:00pm-9:00pm! Concessions and music by the German and Spanish Clubs! Door prizes throughout the night and international food and drinks available! .
