André Bishop concert halls. The New York Times once heralded her voice as Stiles, Co-Chairs “among the most glorious in the world.” Christopher Clark Arroyo has received numerous awards and accolades during her Ellen F. Marcus, Vice Chair Victoria Clark longstanding and illustrious career. She received the 2010 Opera Honors Award from the National Endowment for the Arts and Susan Shine, Vice Chair Rick Elice became a Kennedy Center Honoree in 2013. She continues to make invaluable contributions to Elizabeth Tunick, Secretary Martin Engstroem the art form through her teaching and mentoring of young artists. In 2003, Arroyo established her own non-profi t cultural organization. The Martina Arroyo Robert Jurgrau, Treasurer Nathan Gunn Foundation provides new generations of emerging young artists with tools to pursue careers in opera, by means of intensive programs of study, coaching, and performance Martina Arroyo Steve Novick that focus on immersive preparation of complete operatic roles. Susan L. Baker Kelli O’Hara Arroyo has served on the Board of MasterVoices since 2000, and has appeared between 1966 & 1992 with MasterVoices in Verdi Requiem (1966), Dvořák Dimitri, Verdi Requiem Lois Conway Alan Pierson (1985), and MasterVoices’ 50th Anniversary Gala. HAROLYN BLACKWELL Susan H. Dramm Bruce Pomahac Soprano Harolyn Blackwell is recognized for her expressive and exuberant performances, with a career that has spanned opera, Kenneth H. Hannan, Jr. Matthew Principe concert and recital stages around the world. Following college, the Washington, D.C., native began her career on Broadway in Matthew D. Hoffman Bartlett Sher Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. Shortly afterwards, she was selected as a fi nalist for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Ellen B. Nenner Ira Siff Auditions, and her career path changed from musical theatre to opera. Since then, she has performed with many of the major Bruce Patrick Sarah Billinghurst Solomon national and international opera companies, and at festivals around Daisy Soros the world, including Lyric Opera of Chicago, Glyndebourne Festival, Elaine Petschek Teatro Colon de Buenos Aires, Seattle Opera, Opera de Nice, Miami Opera, Canadian Bernard Telsey Opera Company, Aix-en-Provence Festival, Opera Orchestra of New York and New York’s Lisa Rubin Mostly Mozart Festival. She has appeared in several productions at the Metropolitan Opera, including Un Ballo in Maschera, Le Nozze di Figaro, Manon, Die Fledermaus, Deborah Voigt Werther and La Fille du Régiment. Ms. Blackwell starred as Cunegonde in the Broadway Adèle K. Talty revival of Candide. An accomplished recitalist, she has performed in several acclaimed Kim Wiley-Schwartz concert series, including London’s Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, The Morgan Library, The Library of Congress, The San Francisco Performances Series at the DIRECTORS EMERITI Judy Francis Zankel Herbst Hall , The Kennedy Center’s Fortas Chamber Series. She has also appeared in a number of nationally televised concerts such as The Grammy Awards, The Kennedy Center Honors, and many high profi le concerts on PBS, to name a few. We Sing!” About MasterVoices LAUREN FLANIGAN Soprano Lauren Flanigan has enjoyed a 30-year career that includes MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale) is a New York City-based performances at the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, Glyndebourne, performing arts organization that celebrates singing and the art of musical Lyric Opera of Chicago, and New York City Opera. She has been storytelling. Founded as The Collegiate Chorale 75 years ago by legendary featured in ten world premieres, eleven CDs, fi ve Live from Lincoln conductor Robert Shaw, and now under the artistic direction of Ted Sperling, Center telecasts, one major motion picture, and has received 10 awards for her musical and humanitarian work. In 2009 she was the company presents varied programming, with emphasis in three areas: choral diagnosed with Sensorineural Hearing Loss, a neuro-processing masterpieces, operas-in-concert, and musical theater. MasterVoices has performed disorder severely affecting her balance and limiting her singing in prominent NYC concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, New York City Center, career.
