Welcome to the Toyokawa IPS Workshop 2007 Thank you for the registration for our Workshop in Toyokawa on Oct.30and 31. Toyokawa city, the site of the Workshop, is located in the central region of Japan ,about 2.5 hours from Tokyo or 1.5 hours from Kyoto by JR Shinkansen(the bullet train). The average temperature of Toyokawa during October is 17℃(63°F); this is the most beautiful and the most comfortable season in Japan. Following is the information about access to Toyokawa and the hotel where you will be staying. In order to make the necessary arrangement for your stay in Toyokawa, please read the following, and answer the questions below. Access to the IPS Workshop in Toyokawa If you are coming from Kyoto( CAWSES)……….. From Kyoto Station - Take the JR Shinkansen (the bullet train) Nozomi or Hikari to Nagoya. Then transfer to the JR Shinkansen- Kodama and get off at Toyohashi. Our staff will meet you there. If you are coming fromTokyo………. From Tokyo Station - Take the JR Shinkansen(the bullet train)Kodama and get off at Toyohashi Station(about 140 minutes ride from Tokyo). Our staff will meet you there. (Do not take the Hikari or Nozomi. These trains don’t stop at Toyohashi) If you are coming directly from your country………………… From Narita International Airport - Take the JR Narita Express Line from Narita Int’l Airport to Tokyo Station. Then take the JR Shinkansen-Kodama and get off at Toyohashi Station(about 2.5hours ride from Tokyo). Our staff will meet you there. (Do not take the Hikari or Nozomi. These trains don’t stop at Toyohashi) From Kansai International Airport -Take the JR Haruka Line from the Airport to Shin Osaka Station. Then transfer to the JR Shinkansen- Nozomi or Hikari to Nagoya. Then transfer to the JR Shinkansen- Kodama to Toyohashi station, and our staff will meet you there. From Central Japan International Airport -Take the Nagoya Railway (Meitetsu) from the airport to Jingumae station or Nagoya station then transfer to the Meitetsu Nagoya Honsen and get off at Toyohashi station. Our staff will meet you there. Access to Toyokawa IPS JR Shinkansen Workshop (the bullet train) Kyoto Nagoya Toyohashi Tokyo Kodama 2.5hrs. Nozomi or Hikari 40 mins. Kodama 30mins Nozomi or Hikari 20mins. Meitetsu 40mins. Shin Osaka Jingumae JR Narita Express Line 1hr. JR Haruka Line 50mins Meitetsu 30mins.
