Documentaries about the Great Depression The Great Depression (1993) This PBS documentary series is the best on the Great Depression. It uses newsreels, archival photos and footage, Hollywood films and eyewitness accounts to tell the story of the Great Depression from the end of the 1920s to World War II. The American Experience series includes seven parts, all 57 minutes long.
