Title: Changes to coding frames between 2002 and 2003 This documents changes to coding frames and other changes to the questionnaires between the 2002 and 2003 IPS. 1. A1 and A1(2) - Country codes There is one new country code from January 2003: East Timor 6660 2. A2, A3 and A3(2) - County/Unitary authority/London Borough and Town codes There are no changes to these codes between 2002 and 2003. 3. Q7 - States/provinces/regions/counties Countries of residence asked in 2003 about region/state/department of residence are: S1 United States of America S2 Germany S4 France S7 Belgium Region/state/department codes are attached. 4. D - Seaport/Channel Tunnel Destination codes Destination codes introduced in 2002 were: Cuxhaven, Germany 08067 Eurostar to Avignon 07213 There are no other new destination codes for 2003. 8. E/F - Shipping Line codes/Sea and Channel Tunnel routes Below are shipping line/Sea and Channel Tunnel route codes new to IPS in 2002. January 2002 Transmanche Ferries 07054 9. J1, J2 and J2(2) - Migrant/Long-stay visitor codes There are no changes in 2003 to any migrant or long-stay visitor codes. 10.
