Neveau, Committee Secretary Chair Carlton explained that the Committee had four Bill Draft Requests (BDRs) that needed approval for Committee introduction. Cindy Jones, Assembly Fiscal Analyst, Fiscal Analysis Division, Legislative Counsel Bureau, briefly explained the four BDRs to the members and said BDR 32-1197, BDR 41-1207, and BDR 43-1209 were budget implementation bills. BDR 32-1197 – Revises provisions governing periodic background investigations of state employees who have access to confidential information. (Later introduced as Assembly Bill 530.) BDR 43-1211 – Revises provisions governing sales of motor vehicles. (Later introduced as Assembly Bill 532.) ASSEMBLYMAN FRIERSON MOVED FOR COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF BILL DRAFT REQUESTS BDR 32-1197, BDR 41-1207, BDR 43-1209, AND BDR 43-1211. ASSEMBLYMAN WHEELER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED.
