ANCIPS is flagship annual event of Indian Psychiatric Society. It is one of the largest and most prestigious medical conferences in India, drawing delegates from all over the globe. The theme of the conference is “Smart Psychiatry in Digital Era”. This is a first for us and has been chosen to address a very contemporary trend and challenge, in a world poised to prefix ‘smart’ in every walk of life. We need to define and develop a meaningful smartness for our discipline as well because we have to learn and develop the science of psychiatry and deliver our services in an era which is digitalizing not only the material world but also human behavior and interpersonal relationships.
