Installation Guide 28 0r 36-10 pin I/O Installation • Remove the current board from the 28 or 36-10 pin harness • Refer to 28 or 36/10 Pin, Pin Out (Appendix 1 and 2) and connect your 28 or 36-10 harness to the I/O board making sure you match the component side of the harness to the component side of the board. • Connect the USB cable from the new 28/36-10 pin cobination I/O board to the Black Clover Board using any USB port except the lower port on the back of the Black Clover Board. Black Clover Board 28/36-10 Pin I/O Board FRONT BACK • Mount the Black Clover Board using the VESA mount and hardware provided • Mount I/O board being sure metal does not come in contact with the board • Any Bill Acceptor will work if configured for pulse. • Serial Bill acceptors connect to COM 2 on the back of the Black Clover Board • USB Bill acceptors connect to the lower port on the back of the Black Clover Board • Serial and USB Bill Acceptors are limited to Pyramid, MEI, ICT and Innovative NC_9 • Serial printers connect to COM 4 on the back of the Black Clover Board* • USB printers can connect to any port except the lower port on the back of the Black Clover Board* *Note some printers may require driver installation. Contact Tech Support at 704-851-8000 for assistance if necessary FRONT BACK • The Monitor can be connected using a VGA or HDMI cable • Serial touch input must be connected to COM 1 on the back of the Black Clover Board* • USB touch input can be connected to any port except the lower port on the back of the Black Clover Board* • Install security key provided to any port except the lower port on the back of the Black Clover Board • Audio is connected using the 3.5mm Audio Cable (See Below) connecting from the green output jack on the back of the BlackClover Board to the audio jack on the I/O board. This is located next to the USB connection. (See Below) 3.5mm Audio Cable Audio Connection and Volume Control • There are two jumpers directly behind the audio jack on the I/O board, Gain 1 and Gain 0. The following table shows the configurations for adjusting the audio output Gain1 Gain 0 Volume ON ON Min ON OFF Mid1 OFF ON Mid 2 OFF OFF Max • You may have to add a power strip to the machine to provide outlets to plug everything in • Plug in all power supplies *Note some touchscreens may require custom installation.
