LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS No. 35/2020 LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS No. 35/2020 01/10/2020 BRIDGE LIFTING TIMES On Behalf of BCP Mariners are advised that from Monday 5th October 2020 until Monday 12th October 2020 the following lifting schedule will apply: LIFTING SCHEDULE Twin Sails Bridge 05:30 Twin Sails Bridge 06:30 Twin Sails Bridge 07:30 Twin Sails Bridge 08:30 * Twin Sails Bridge 09:30 Twin Sails Bridge 10:30 Twin Sails Bridge 12:30 Twin Sails Bridge 14:30 Poole Bridge 16:30 Poole Bridge 17:30 * Poole Bridge 18:30 Poole Bridge 20:30 Poole Bridge 22:30 Poole Bridge 23:30 * Weekends and Bank Holidays Only From 05:30 until 14:30Twin Sails opens first and Poole Bridge opens immediately afterwards** From 16:30 until 23:30 Poole Bridge opens first and Twin Sails opens immediately afterwards** **At bridge operator’s discretion, subject to weather, tide and traffic density, any change in the order of lifts will be broadcast on VHF CH12 Vessels should be on station prior to the lift commencing and during quiet periods make contact with the bridge operator on VHF CH12 After the first bridge has lifted, the second bridge will open as soon as possible. The first bridge will open again, if required, for returning vessels. Mariners need to check the headroom displays at the bridge to judge if they can pass below without the bridge being lifted. Mariners are reminded that radar, telephone and VHF Channels are recorded. Owners, Agents, Charterers, Marinas, Yacht Clubs and Recreational Watersport Organisations should ensure that the contents of this Notice are made known to the masters or persons in charge of their vessels or craft.
