The church of St. Bartbolomew is an old stone building, containing two old monuments with recumbent statues of knights and ladies ; and also several beautiful mural monuments to the Corbet family ; the chancel window is filled with stained glass, as is also a beautiful tnangular window in the west end of the aisle ; the tower, about two-thirds of which was thrown down in the Civil Wars, was restored by Andrew Corbet, Esq., in 1779. The living is a rectory, tithes commuted at £340, with residence and 39t acres of glebe land, in the gift of Sir Vincent R. Corbet, Bart. A school is sup­ ported by Sir V. R. Corbet, Bart.
