[email protected] About the Authors Moncia Perry Dr. Perry is co-author of Chap. 6. She has been a professor in the School of Business at the University of Redlands since 2004 and prior to Redlands she taught Marketing at Cal State Fullerton as well as the Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. At Redlands she has held admin- istrative positions and teaches courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level. They include Hybrid M.B.A. marketing courses (Marketing Management, Customer Information Strategies, GIS for Marketing, Marketing Analytics) as well as various undergraduate courses including introductory marketing courses, strategic manage- ment, introductory management courses, and a Capstone Project course. Her research publications and presentation have focused on two related streams: (1) Intersection of Technology and Marketing and (2) Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Her work has appeard in a variety of publications including Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, and Marketing Management Journal and she has presented at conferences such as INFORMS, Marketing Science, and Association of Global Business. Dr. Perry earned her Ph.D. in Marketing with a minor in Logistics/Information Systems from the University of Maryland and her B.S. in Psychology from the College of William and Mary. James B. Pick is a professor in the School of Business at the University of Redlands. He is director of the university’s Center for Business GIS and Spatial Analysis, past chair of the Department of Management and Business, and past assembly chair of the School of Business. He is author or coauthor of over 150 journal articles, book chapters, and scientific papers in information systems, GIS, population, and urban studies, and author or coauthor of thirteen books on these topics. His current research interests include renewable energy, spatial and socio- economic modeling of the worldwide and U.S. digital divides, analysis of urban change, and study of influences on technology use in rural villages in India. He is a senior associate editor of European Journal of Information Systems and serves on four other journal editorial boards.
