Adoption (electronic) Appendix F – Critical Facility Details (electronic) Region 6 iii Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan 2016 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This plan is the product of a 2016 planning process undertaken by the four counties in the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming Office of Homeland Security Region 6 – Big Horn, Park, Hot Springs and Washakie. The purpose is to meet the requirements of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (PL 106-390), and thereby maintain continued eligibility for certain Hazard Mitigation – or disaster loss reduction – programs from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This plan updates existing hazard mitigation plans for Washakie and Park counties, and serves as a new hazard mitigation plan for Hot Springs County. Big Horn County had updated its hazard mitigation plan in late 2015 and adopted it in 2016, thus it is included in its entirety as an annex to this plan. The process followed a methodology that adheres to FEMA guidance. It consisted of two levels of planning teams; a coordinating planning team comprised of the County Emergency Management Coordinators, and four local government teams – one in each county.
