Permit required when exceeding 65 feet for combinations of vehicles that include a “Stinger-steered” type pole trailer, or when exceeding 60 feet in overall length for other combinations of vehicles when traveling on the roads listed in TABLE 1. 2. Truck tractor semitrailer combinations up to 65 feet overall length and any other combination of vehicles up to 75 feet overall length may operate on roads marked in TABLE 1 with double asterisks (**) without a permit. 3. Vehicles and combinations of vehicles cannot exceed ORS Chapter 818 weight limits without a permit. 4. The maximum length of a semitrailer in a truck tractor semitrailer combination is 53 feet. 5. The maximum length of a semitrailer in a truck tractor combination (doubles) is 40 feet. The distance measured from the front of the first trailer to the end of the rear trailer cannot exceed 68 feet. 6. The maximum length of a truck or trailer in a truck trailer combination is 40 feet. 7. Truck tractor semitrailer combinations may operate at a maximum of 75 feet in overall length on the highways listed in TABLE 1 with a permit. 8.
