Conway-Turner joined Georgia Southern in 2001 .As the dean of CLASS, she has been responsible for one of the University's seven colleges, consist- ing of 10 academic departments, more than 2,500 students and 225 faculty. Conway-Turner is credited with energizing in- terdisciplinary programs in Women's and Gender A mariachi band played during a series of traditional Mexican dances.
