Previous RLT roles include Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest, The French Taunter in Spamalot, Faulkland in The Rivals, and Templeton in Charlotte’s Web. Gus is grateful to the entire cast and crew, and he would like to thank Jeremy for the opportunity to disagree about which plays are better than others. Gus is happy to be correct on this occasion. Thanks to Lisa Kasl in Nebraska for always being there and to God for the gift of each new day. KIRSTEN EHLERT (Actress One) is thrilled to join the Baskerville team. She most recently appeared in Memory of Water with Forest Moon Theater. Favorite roles at Raleigh Little Theatre include Abigail in The Crucible, Rachel in One Man, Two Guvnors, and Carnelle in The Miss Firecracker Contest. Kirsten holds a Dramatic Art degree from UNC Chapel Hill and is working on her master’s degree in Educational Theatre from NYU. She teaches drama at RLT and Theatre Academy Productions. TONY HEFNER (Actor One) is excited to wear many hats (and wigs) in this production. He was most recently seen as Jacob Marley in Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol at NRACT. He has prepared for this role by playing Tom/Phyllis/Leslie in Sylvia at Forest Moon Theater, Clown 2 in Raleigh Little Theatre’s The 39 Steps, and Jake et al. in Stones in His Pockets for Actor’s Comedy Lab. Thank you to Fred and Lyna for your love and support. MARY ROWLAND (Sherlock Holmes) is a Raleigh native, and currently teaches Communication and Theatre at Wake Tech. She acts and directs locally, and last appeared at Raleigh Little Theatre as Amanda in The Glass Menagerie. LAUREL ULLMAN (Dr. Watson) is delighted to be treading the boards of the Sutton stage for the first time. She has previously been seen at Raleigh Little Theatre in the staged reading of Mike Wiley’s Downrange on the Gaddy-Goodwin stage. Laurel studied Theatre at UNC-Greensboro; she is the co-founder of Tiny Engine Theatre and serves on the board of the Women’s Theatre Festival. Favorite roles include Ellen/Mrs. Saunders/Betty in Cloud 9 (Tiny Engine), Emma in Contractions (Common Wealth Endeavours) and Anna in Closer (She’s-A-Nelson). RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE IX PRODUCTION STAFF BIOGRAPHIES DENNIS R. BERFIELD (Scenic Designer, Production Manager/Technical Director) is from South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He attended Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. He went on to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts in Scenic Design and Technology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During his time in undergraduate and graduate school, Dennis worked at various regional and off-Broadway theaters as a Scenic Artist, Carpenter, Master Carpenter, Scenic Designer, Assistant Technical Director, Scenic Coordinator, as well as many other backstage production roles. After working professionally for a number of years, Dennis became an adjunct professor at Millinkin University in Decatur, IL and eventually went on to become the Technical Director at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. LIZ DROESSLER (Lighting Designer) holds a B.S. in Dance, a Masters in Theatre, and a Doctorate in Higher Education/Adult Learning. She teaches in the Education Department at Meredith College, and designs scenery and lighting for theatre, music and dance nationally including the American Dance Festival, and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. This season her Raleigh Little Theatre credits include Sister Act, Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, and Divas. ALEC HAKLAR (Assistant Technical Director) is a New Jersey native who graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2017. Prior to Raleigh Little Theatre, Alec worked as a freelance scenic carpenter at NC State’s University Theatre, Two River Theater, New Jersey Repertory Company, William Peace University, and the Berkshire Theatre Festival. TODD HOUSEKNECHT (Sound Adviser) has been very active in Community Theater in the Raleigh area for 11 years, providing set construction, technical direction, lighting design and sound engineering assistance for organizations that include Raleigh Little Theatre, Cary Players, NRACT, Forest Moon, and others. Highlights include Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Spring Awakening, Cinderella, Spamalot, Hedwig, Sweeney Todd, and many, many others. ELIZABETH IAQUINTA (Prop Master) is excited to be part of the production crew for Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery. She was prop master for Raleigh Little Theatre’s Blood Done Sign My Name and has been a paint and scene shop volunteer for past plays. Outside of the theater she owns Events and Gatherings, an event planning business and freelances as a prop and wardrobe stylist for advertising photography and film shoots. CYNITA LEW (Stage Manager) is a graduate of ECU with a degree in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Stage Management.
