The 2003-04 season also marked the the 49er program since posting 22 wins during the 2000-01 campaign. The mark is the third-most Tigers fourth consecutive year of postseason play under head coach JOHN CALIPARI. Under under head coach BOBBY LUTZ, who led the Niners to 23 triumphs in his first season at the helm in Calipari, UM has averaged 23 wins a season. ANTONIO BURKS became the 38th player in UM 1998-99. It also was the first time since the 1991-92 season that the program recorded 20 wins in the annals with 1,000 career points (1,006) and he becomes only the fourth Tiger to record 1,000 points, regular season. The 49ers 12-4 mark in league play was its second best mark in Conference USA 450 assists (487) and 170 steals (177). The other three players to accomplish that trifecta are Andre action to claim a share of its first league crown.
