PROVINCE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA ORDER OF THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL Order in Council No. 434 , Approved and Ordered 4PR. -4.1991 Lieutena t Governor Executive Council Chambers, Victoria APR -3.1991 On the recommendation of the undersigned. the Lieutenant Governor. by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council. orders that WHEREAS the year 1991, marking the 31st Anniversary of the establishment of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation offers us an occasion to reflect on the great progress achieved so far in the fight against cystic fibrosis and to contemplate the challenges that face us in the future; AND WHEREAS thanks to the generosity and dedication of thousands of Canadians, Canada's world leadership in cystic fibrosis treatment and research is demonstrated by statistics which show that more people with Cystic Fibrosis are now surviving into their adult years in Canada than in any other country. AND WHEREAS citizens of British Columbia are urged to lend their whole-hearted support, most particularly in the month of May, towards the goal of finding a cure for cystic fibrosis; A Proclamation be issued designating May, 1991, as 'Cystic Fibrosis Month' in the Province of British Columbia.
