Will have TD (total deliver) marking meaning you can deliver accurately. 5) Iron Ring- clasp made of iron, used to hold glass beakers or flasks when they are being heated. Use with a ring stand. May adjust height. 6) Thermometer-uses thermal expansion of the liquid in the bulb to determine the temperature of objects. 7) Clamp-used for holding equipment in the correct position on a ring stand. 8) Dropper/Pipet- used to suction transfer small amount of liquid. 9) Stirring Rod- piece of lab equipment udes to mix chemicals and liquids. 10) Wire Mesh- Sits on top of iron ring to support beakers, evaporating dishes, and other equipment while heating. 11) Test Tube Holder-used to hold or support test tubes containing chemicals while moving or heating them. 12) Funnel- Used with filter paper in separating solids and liquids or used to transfer liquids. 13) Tongs- Used for moving hot equipment, which is not heavy. 14) Test Tube Rack-Used to hold or support test tubes containing chemicals waiting for further operation. 15) Burner- Used to heat chemicals. Use a rubber hose to connect to gas outlet. 16) Test Tube- glassware consisting of a finger-like length of glass or plastic that is open at the top and rounded on the bottom. Used to heat, hold, or mix solid or liquid chemicals. 17) Florence Flask- Used for holding and transferring liquids. Not a measuring device. Capitalize since this flask is named after a person. 18) Evaporating Dish- Used for evaporating samples of liquid. Usually made of porcelain. Can be heated. 19) Ring Stand- Serves to support other equipment being used in an experiment. Always used with other equipment such as an iron ring or clamp. 20) Well Plate- Used to run small scale test with small amounts of chemicals. Usually using only drops of chemicals. Can cut down on waste. .
