Hastings Park / PNE / PNE Park Hastings Bikeway: Commuter bikeways are designed to provide safe, direct and convenient routes with fewer cars, less noise and better air quality making bikeways a good choice for cyclists traveling to school or work. Bikeway routes are typically on local streets where cyclists share the road with other users. However, some sections of a bikeway may be on a path or on a major roadway. Where a bikeway crosses higher volume roads, centre medians or cyclist/pedestrian signals are often installed. Traffic calming measures may be installed along the length of a bikeway to reduce speeds and discourage non-local motor vehicle traffic. 5 CIRCULATION – GREENWAYS + BIKEWAYS i Westcoast Express Bus Route Potential Ferry Service Proposed Rapid Bus / B-Line Service Bus Loop Master Plan Potential Commuter Rail Station Bus Stop Hastings Park / PNE / PNE Park Hastings 6 CIRCULATION – TRANSIT i Arterial Road Collector Road Two-way Route One-way Route Master Plan Trans Canada Highway Fixed Time /Fully Actuated Signal Semi-Actuated Signal Pedestrian Actuated Signal Hastings Park / PNE / PNE Park Hastings 7 CIRCULATION – VEHICULAR i CD-1 Comprehensive Development District RS-1 One-Family Dwelling District C-1 .
