At the beginning of Q1 2019, Bell removed 167,929 subscribers as follows: ▪ 65,798 subscribers (19,195 postpaid and 46,603 prepaid), due to the completion of the shutdown of the CDMA network on April 30, 2019; ▪ 49,095 prepaid subscribers as a result of a change to our deactivation policy, mainly from 120 days for Bell/Virgin Mobile and 150 days for Lucky Mobile to 90 days; ▪ 43,670 postpaid subscribers relating to IoT due to the further refinement of our subscriber definition as a result of technology evolution; and ▪ 9,366 postpaid fixed wireless Internet subscribers which were transferred to our retail high-speed Internet subscriber base. †† Effective April 1, 2019, Rogers removed 127,000 prepaid subscribers as a result of changing its deactivation policy, from 180 days to 90 days, to be more consistent with the industry. ††† As of Q4 2018, TELUS reported 9,235,000 subscribers. Effective Q1 2019, TELUS reports mobile phones and connected devices separately. 490K units were adjusted to reflect: ▪ The movement of certain subscriber units from the mobile phones subscriber base to the newly created mobile connected devices subscriber base; and ▪ The inclusion of previously undisclosed Internet of Things and mobile health subscriber units in our mobile connected devices subscriber base. * SaskTel reports on a fiscal calendar beginning April 1, 2018, ending March 31, 2019. ** SaskTel, TELUS and Vidéotron do not breakdown prepaid and postpaid subscribers.
