Thai Language Class , Average 15 attendees 12.00 pm.-2.00 pm. Classical Thai Dance class, Average 15 attendees Sunday Activity: The same as the above and the following events below are the actual days of the events, whenever a particular event falls on weekdays the event or ceremony would be scheduled on the following Sunday. Average of 50 to 100 attendees during the lunch - food offering. Donation food is served on Sundays and donations are accepted. Events and Activity at the Temple; January 1st New Year February 12th Teacher Day February 21st Magha Puja (‘Sangha Day’) Commemorates the spontaneous gathering of 1,250 arahants, to whom the Buddha gave the exhortation on the basis of the discipline April 13rd Thai New Year (Songklan-Water Festival) May 19th Vesakha Puja (‘Buddha Day’) Commemorates the birth, enlightenment and passing away of the Buddha. July 17th Asalha Puja (‘Dhamma Day’) The traditional Rainy-Season Retreat (Vassa) begins on the next day. August 12th The Queen’s Birthday Celebration (Thai Mother’s Day) October 14th Pavarana Day, This marks the end of the three-month Vassa-retreat. In the following month, lay people may offer the Kathina-robe as part of a general alms-giving ceremony. November 12th Loy Kratong Day, Thai heritage and represents a close bond between Thai culture and water. The festival takes place on the full moon night of the twelfth lunar month.
