It is hereby declared that Southern Rhodesia continues to Status of be part of Her Majesty's dominions, and that the Government Southe~ rso and Parliament of the United Kingdom have responsibility and Rhodes1a. spo jurisdiction as heretofore for and in respect of it. :;sp1 2.-(1) Her Majesty may by Order in Council make such Powers with provision in relation to Southern Rhodesia, or persons or things respect to ace in any way belonging to or connected with Southern Rhodesia, SoutheI? as appears to Her to be necessary or expedient in consequence of Rhodesia. 3.1 i I any unconstitutional action taken therein. 1.0U (2) W~thout prejudic~ to the ~enerality of subsection (1) of this .section . an Order 1n Council thereunder may make such provis1on- Sh4 (a) for suspending, amending, revoking or adding to any of Led the provisions of the Constitution of Southern Rhodesia 1961; (b) for modifying, extending or suspending the operation ~rs< of any enactment or instrument in relation to Southern tis j • Rhodesia, or persons or things in any way belonging to 1n or connected with Southern Rhodesia; (c) for imposing prohibitions, restrictions or obligations in respect of transactions relating to Southern Rhodesia or any such persons or things, • s appears to Her Majesty to be necessary or expedient as rt s :foresaid; and any provision ~ade by ~r under such a? ~rder :1 Cc ay apply to things done or onutted outside as, well as within the f Fe inited Kingdom or other country or territory to which the , s l• Order extends. ! f 1: 1shi t . bi; ;1a11 Alternative passport facilities 5. It has now been decided that a dual United K Rhodesian citizen not on the stop list who holds p~e-i.d.i. Rhodesian passport which ha; neither e nor is about to expire and which ia not full a new six-month passport in replacem one only (1) if he insists that h ced ins ite of the 2/4 2 1 CB., 76 Soutlzern Rhodesia Act 1965 (3) ~n Order in. Council under this section may make or authorise ~he ma~ng of such incidental, supplemental and consequential prov1s1011s as appear to Her Majesty to be expedient for the purposes of the Order, and any provision made by or under such an Order may be made to have effect from any date not earlier than 11th Noven1ber 1965. (4) An Order in Council under this section may be revoked or varied by a subsequent Order in Council thereunder. (5) An Order in Council under this section shall be laid before Parliament after being made and shall expire at the end of the period of twenty-eight days beginning with the day on which it was made unless during that period it is approved by resolution of each House of Parliament. The expiration of an Order in pursuance of this subsection shall not affect the operation of the Order as respects things previously done or omitted to be done or the power to make a new Order; and in calculating the period aforesaid no account shall be taken of any time during which Parliament is dissolved or prorogued or during which both Houses are adjourned for more than four days. Duration 3.-(1) Subject to the foll~win~ provisions of ~s section, of section 2. section 2 of this Act shall continue In force for the penod of one year beginning with. th~ date ?f the passing o! this Act and sh_all then expire unless It IS continued 1n force m accordance with subsection (2) of this section.
