LERWICK Shetland Livestock Marketing Group in conjunction with Aberdeen and Northern Marts presented and sold 47 head of cattle and 1843 sheep of all classes at their sale on Saturday 7th November 2020. Cattle easily maintained the trade of the previous sale. All classes of sheep were sharper with good quality lambs being scarce and consequently dearer. Once again the online bidding facility proved its worth with buyers becoming more adept and confident in its use. Leading Prices Store bullocks sold to £1500 for an 848kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Parkview, Haroldswick. Cast cows sold to £1240 for a 920kg AAx from Parkview, Haroldswick. Weaned stot calves sold to £830 per head and 284.7p per kilo for Charolais crosses from Haygreen, Cunningsburgh. Weaned heifer calves sold to £715 per head and 250p per kilo for Charolais crosses also from Haygreen.
