The Annual General Meeting of the Council was held on Monday 11th May 2009 in the Civic Centre, at which the former Mayor, Councillor Jim Spencer, handed over to the new Mayor Heritage Open Days Councillor Gerard Francis and the formal business of the Council was conducted to Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th September appoint committees, agree an annual schedule of meetings and appoint Councillors to Heritage Open Days is well established on the outside bodies.
