Wantland, wife of long-time UCO football coach Conference: Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association C.W. Wantland. The name was chosen from a number of suggestions Nickname: Bronchos for the name of UCO’s football team and became the nickname for School Colors: Bronze & Blue all athletic teams at the school. Enrollment: 17,000 Mrs. Wantland was made an honorary member of the Letter- Stadium (Capacity): Broncho Stadium (250) man’s Club as a result of selecting the nickname, becoming the first SOFTBALL FACTS woman admitted to that organization.
