Congratulations to the winners and thanks to the judges. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2 April 22, 2004—Iowa Section IFT Suppliers Night Wrap- Up The Suppliers' Night is the IFT -Iowa Section's chief fund-raiser, held every other year. The April 22, 2004 Suppliers' Night at the Adventureland Inn in Altoona generated a record $4,600 for the Section's budget. Forty-six suppliers paid $100 each for a tabletop at the event. Past Suppliers' Nights have generated income as follows: 2002 - $3,500; 2000 - $2,550; 1998 - $1,916; 1996 - $2,400; 1994 - $1,635. Dr. Sam Beattie and Iowa State University Extension hosted two food safety workshops in conjunction with the Suppliers' Night. The combined event drew a larger crowd than either would have drawn alone. Future Suppliers' Nights will certainly consider this joint approach. A Section sponsored golf outing at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona preceded the Suppliers' Night on the 22nd.
