ELTON JOHN CONCERT TICKETS GO ON SALE SEPT. 5 MISSOULA— Rock and roll superstar Elton John and his band will appear live in concert Friday, Sept. 28, in The University of Montana Adams Center. Reserved tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the Adams Center box office and all GrizTix outlets, including The Source in the University Center, Southgate Mall, Worden's Market, online at http://www.griztix.com or by calling 888-MONTANA. There is a six-ticket limit per purchase. The concert is part of Elton John's 2007 "Rocket Man: Number Ones" tour. It is presented by UM Productions, which brought the Rolling Stones to Missoula last fall. "We are extremely excited and honored to host an artist of the caliber of Elton John — especially during Homecoming weekend," said Ryan Hamilton, director of UM Productions. "Everyone at the University is excited to continue our tradition of hosting great concerts." UM Executive Vice President Jim Foley added: "The University is delighted to work together with UM Productions, which has been bringing quality events like this to students and the public for more than 35 years." -more- 082907elto-2 Elton John and his band — including members Davey Johnstone on guitar, Guy Babylon on keyboards, Bob Birch on bass, John Mahon on percussion and Nigel Olsson on drums — will play his greatest hits, along with more recent songs from his latest release. "Rocket Man: Number Ones," released in March 2007, features newly compiled and digitally mastered greatest hits spanning the first three decades of Elton John's career.
