Introduction The purpose of this document is to outline the main processes of creating a transportation model (or “travel demand model”). The model will be used as an analysis tool to evaluate existing and future network conditions as part of the Long Range Transportation Plan 2025. This document is divided into four chapters describing data requirements, definitions that CUUATS staff has developed for model inputs, trip generation process and the trip distribution process.
