YEAR IN REVIEW 2020 NSSFPAC.ORG Message From PAC Treasurer PAC YEAR IN REVIEW 2020 DEAR PAC MEMBERS On behalf of the National Shooting Sports Foundation® Political Action Committee (NSSF® PAC), I am pleased to present our 2020 Year in Review. This report reflects political activity, financial highlights and overall engagement throughout both the calendar year and election cycle. We strive to provide a level of transparency to our members and we take pride in the critical work NSSF PAC does on behalf of the firearm and ammunition industry. In the 2020 cycle, NSSF PAC received an unprecedented amount of support even in a presidential election year which is understandably the most active for all Political Action Committees. To all members, your leadership and investment in NSSF PAC serves a critical role in making the voice of the industry heard in Washington, D.C. In this report, I invite you to take a look at what NSSF has accomplished in the 2020 election cycle. As we face the challenges of a new administration, Lawrence G. Keane and a new Congress, there are many things to be optimistic about, as NSSF PAC Treasurer PAC looks to build on our track record of working to elect more pro-industry, National Shooting pro-hunting and shooting sports allies to join us in Washington, D.C. These events combine the PAC’s mission to sup- port candidates for office who support our industry, while promoting our industry and the products we manufacture, distribute and sell, and while introducing hundreds of policymakers, staff, and government relations professionals to the shooting sports. Unfortunately, due to the COVID 19 restrictions, we were forced to cancel and postpone almost all of our scheduled events in 2020. Instead, NSSF PAC was able to introduce many of our champions in Congress directly to you, our members and supporters, through a series of townhall events. Steve Daines Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) spoke with NSSF about hunting and conservation efforts in the Senate and raising his children hunting big game in Montana. Katie Pavlich Townhall editor and Fox News Contributor Katie Pavlich joined NSSF for a preview of the 2020 election. Shelley Moore Capito NSSF’s 2019 Legislator of the Year, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) accepts her award and discusses her bill the Target Practice and Marksmanship Training Support Act. Steve Scalise US House Republican Whip, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-Louisiana) talks about his history with PLCAA, and how surviving an attack by gunman has strengthened his belief in the Second Amendment. Martha McSally US Senator Martha McSally (R-Ariz.) checks in with NSSF to highlight the differences between her and her opponent on firearms issues. PAC YEAR IN REVIEW 2020 Page 5 Kevin McCarthy US House Republican Leader, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) outlines his conference’s platform for pro industry, pro Second Amendment policies. Thom Tillis US Senator Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) updates NSSF PAC members on his race, the entire senate map, and discusses bank policies that discriminate against the firearm and ammunition industry. Tom Reed and Elise Stefanik NSSF PAC supporters got a twofer with New York Republican Representatives Elise Stefanik and Tom Reed. The pair from New York detailed the changes COVID has had on the country and trying to keep the economy moving – including keeping firearm and ammunition manufacturers open for business. Ted Budd No one understands the work NSSF does better than Congressman Ted Budd (R-N.C.) who in addition to being a pro firearm industry legislator, is a member of the industry, and an NSSF premium retail member.
