To sign up for the audition process, please contact the Music Department at 918.495.7500. Specifics concerning the musical audition are listed below. • The individuals auditioning must sing a song from a musical. Student may audition by using either a live accompanist provided by the student or by using the accompanist provided by the music department. No accompaniment on CD’s will be permitted. • Students who audition must demonstrate their vocal proficiency. This will assist the audition committee to properly place each student in appropriate classes to help develop those skills. • An interview will be held at the time of the music audition. Each individual should be prepared to share about his or her spiritual background, musical training experience and future goals and aspirations. • The fundamental theory placement exam will be given the same day as auditions. If an individual does not pass this exam, he or she will be required to enroll in Fundamentals of Music Theory.
