Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Osaka Shin-Imamiya Construction Starting June 1, 2019

Hoshino Resorts Press Release Naniwa-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Osaka Shin-Imamiya Construction Starting June 1, 2019 KARUIZAWA, Japan—Hoshino Resorts (CEO: Yoshiharu Hoshino) will begin construction for the new "Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Osaka Shin-Imamiya" facility currently under development in Osaka City on June 1st, 2019. This hotel, adjacent to the Shinsekai area that has preserved the abundant atmosphere and charm of Osaka throughout the years, is located next to the Shin-Imamiya station (Nankai Electric Railway and JR), easily accessible from Kansai International Airport. It will be developed as an urban sightseeing hotel for travelers exploring Osaka and the surrounding area to further enhance their stay. "OMO" is the fourth Hoshino Resorts brand, following HOSHINOYA, RISONARE, and KAI. With the concept of “Get down with the local rhythm: exciting urban tourist hotel where there’s so much more to do than just sleep,” OMO7 Asahikawa was opened in April 2018, and OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka in May of the same year. OMO7 Osaka Shin-Imamiya will be the third facility in the OMO brand. Hoshino Resorts regards the development of the OMO brand in Osaka highly as the city is one of the most prominent metropolises in Asia that nurtures a unique culture and thus serves as an important base for the brand. Hoshino Resorts hopes that this hotel will offer a new destination in Shin-Imamiya for both domestic and foreign travelers. Hoshino Resorts Press Release A design which blends in with the city A more enjoyable and exciting trip to Osaka. Hoshino Resorts would like to welcome travelers who come excited for what this city has to offer them with a friendly service unique to OMO. Precisely because the hotel is located in front of a well-trafficked station used by many people, Hoshino Resorts hopes that it will become a welcoming place which gathers the smiling faces of travelers and guests from the region and has the potential to become a regional landmark. This hope was incorporated amply into the building’s design. On an approximately 14,000-square-meter site adjacent to the Shin-Imamiya station on the JR Osaka loop line, a lush garden area spreads out in an urban surrounding. The "OMO-ness" is expressed by designing the exterior of the building in a manner which leaves a friendly and gentle impression, instead of a rigid and regular one, often the norm in urban areas. By combining these efforts with a design taking the surrounding environment and comfort into consideration, Hoshino Resorts achieved the goal of creating a hotel space that seamlessly blends into the city.
