Doraiswamy was absent for today's (18.01.2010) enquiry which was held at the Collector's office, Erode. The Public Authority was represented by the Public Information Officer Thiru M. Chinnathambi Pillai, Divisional Accountant, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Tatabad, Coimbatore district. Under the RTI Act 2005 sec.6(1) the petitioner sent a petition dated 22.07.09 addressed to the Public Information Officer requesting him to furnish the information on eight items. The enquiry was to be conducted on 30.12.2009 at Chennai, but as per the request of the petitioner and the PIO the enquiry was adjourned to a later date. During the enquiry, the PIO informed the Commission that the required information on eight items was furnished to the petitioner on the following dates i.e. 14.8.09, 02.11.09, 05.01.10 and 11.01.10 at free of cost. The petitioner received the required information from the PIO and request the Commission to drop further action in the Case No.22972/09. The PIO produced the acknowledgement obtained from the petitioner. Since the required information on eight items was received by the petitioner the case is treated as closed.
